We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to assist our finance team with the task of processing operational payments and ensuring timely and accurate posting into our bank accounts. This position will provide you with hands-on experience in accounting practices and payment reconciliation, cash management contributing to the smooth financial operations of the company.
Note: this position requires a full proficiency in English
Location
Madrid: Hybrid (initially requiring in-office presence, with the possibility of increasing remote work after the first month based on performance).
Your Role in Our Journey
- Prepare, process, and record treasury transactions in the company’s bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile financial records with bank statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing reports on treasury transactions for internal and external use.
- Support the finance team in month-end and year-end closing activities related to treasury management and accounting overall.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation for audits and financial reviews.
- Update and manage financial spreadsheets and databases.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient treasury processes and resolve any related issues.
- Assist with ad hoc accounting tasks as needed.
Your impact
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, with a strong eagerness to learn and develop financial skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with accounting software is a plus but not mandatory.
- Proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with different stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus but not required.
