Our client is a dynamic and growing company headquartered in Helmond, currently employing 15 dedicated team members locally. They also manage operations for their German entity, which consists of 27 employees. As we expand our cross-border activities, we are looking for an HR Representative who can support the teaHms in both locations with professionalism, empathy, and a deep understanding of HR best practices across international boundaries.

Responsibilities/Tasks

The HR Representative will be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations in the Netherlands and Germany. This includes recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management support, and compliance with Dutch and German labor laws. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and capable of handling multi-country HR matters with discretion and cultural sensitivity.

For the Helmond Office:

  • Manage all HR activities for 15 local employees.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries.
  • Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Support performance review cycles and professional development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Dutch labour legislation and internal policies.

For the German Entity:

  • Collaborate with local managers to support 27 employees.
  • Coordinate with external HR/legal advisors in Germany as needed.
  • Oversee cross-border HR tasks such as employment contracts, benefits administration, and payroll coordination (liaising with finance or external payroll providers).
  • Monitor labour law developments in Germany and ensure ongoing compliance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an HR generalist or HR officer/representative role.
  • Familiarity with Dutch labour law and HR practices.
  • Experience or willingness to work with German HR frameworks.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch; German is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of confidentiality, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong administrative and digital literacy (HRIS, MS Office/Google Workspace).

Preferred:

  • HR qualification (e.g., HBO Human Resource Management, PDL, or equivalent).
  • Experience working in an international or cross-border organization.
  • Exposure to small-to-medium-sized business environments.
