Role of Registered Nurse
To provide safe, quality, person-centred care to a Child within their home environment. The successful candidate will be part of a Nurse-led care team providing clinical care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Paediatric care and be able to work flexible hours, including day and night shifts.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide nursing care to a child
• Gastrostomy tube feeds via feeding pump
• Competent in all tracheostomy care, changing of ties, suctioning and changing tubes in an emergency situation
• Management and administration of nebs and suctioning
• Monitoring for signs and symptoms of respiratory distress
• Pressure area care
• Medication Management
• Seizure management
• Care of a child with a disability
• Manage enteral feeding and medication
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Manage seizures
• Provide play and family support
• Provide excellent evidence-based nursing care, implementing all aspects of care plans based on the needs identified.
• Prioritise the needs and comfort of the client.
• Promote abilities, independence, and safeguard the client’s interests at all times
• Work closely in partnership with family members and the clinical team
• Communicate effectively with the client, family, clinical team, and MDT, reporting on the client’s clinical needs as required.
• Maintain an accurate and professional clinical note

Qualifications & Experience:
• Current registration on the live register of NMBI
• RGN/RCN trained
• Paediatric nursing experience is desirable
• Previous experience in home care is an advantage, full training and support provided
