Overall, Purpose of Job
Excellent Opportunity for a dynamic Radiation Oncologist to work in our state-of-the-art facility in the private sector.
The Mission of the Hospital is to provide quality patient care in an environment that is respectful, compassionate and caring.
Radiotherapy provides a full range of external beam radiotherapy treatments to patients, including stereotactic radiotherapy. We have 2 Varian linear accelerators (Truebeam and Trilogy), a Siemens GoSim CT simulator, a Sensus SRT-100 superficial machine, and use Varian EMR and Eclipse TPS.
The successful candidate will cover a maternity leave post for a duration of up to one year commencing September/October 2024. You will work within the radiotherapy department and will be integrated with medical and surgical oncology services and palliative care.

Specialist registration (post CCST qualification)
Irish Medical Council Registration Certificate
Experience
Prior consultant experience desirable
Subsites
Attendance at MDTs and provide comprehensive radiotherapy service for the following subsites:
Breast cancer
Lung cancer
Gynae cancer
Skin cancer
Palliative cases
SRS and SABR for oligometastatic disease and certain primary cancers
Additional opportunities
Radiotherapy has a strong background in research and participation in clinical trials including international and national studies. We are fully supported with a trials team, along with university affiliations.
