We are looking for someone who would be part of the team, responsible for reporting and insights to mitigate money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud related risks to Western Union.

Role Responsibilities

• Using advanced data analytics to maintain and design scalable reporting tools to mitigate money laundering, terrorist financing and fraud related risks to Western Union.
• Contribute to a global compliance program by analyzing the accuracy and effectiveness of controls and systems to identify potential issues and areas of improvement.
• Prepare analytic reports and statistical summaries for audit requests and other compliance stakeholders.
• Conduct research and analysis into complex issues concerning patterns and global trends associated with money laundering, terrorist financing, and other potential risks.
• Build automated reports and visualizations to provide key insights into products and compliance controls.
• Forecast the potential impact and effectiveness of new compliance controls.
• Responsible for contributing to internal and external audit responses, forecasts, and other regulatory requests.
• Proposing preventing measures to prevent the failure of certain KPIs.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of data extraction, preparation and analysis experience is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics, Data Management, or a related area of study and/or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail and organization.
• Proficient in SQL or similar query languages.
• Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Advanced Excel skills (data analysis, visuals, pivot tables, macros).
• Proficient in Power BI, or similar business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with statistical concepts and analysis.
• Knowledge of Alteryx or similar software is preferred, yet not a prerequisite.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or a similar coding language is expected.
• You will need strong communication skills to convey fraud insight.
• Fluency in English language (verbal and written) is required (at least B2 level).
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Salary
The monthly gross base salary range is 2175 - 3292 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
