Our client, an established, globally active company in the Utrecht area is looking for a Finance Manager to join their finance team. In this position, you'll lead financial and business control activities while also contributing to strategic projects across the organization.

Responsibilities/Tasks

In this role, you will be a key part of the finance team and take the lead in planning, reporting, and improving financial processes. You will work closely with different departments and external partners to support the business with clear financial insights.

• Manage the monthly financial close process and ensure accurate internal reporting
• Take ownership of financial governance, including risk management and internal controls
• Act as the main contact for external auditors and oversee the annual audit process
• Monitor regulatory compliance and ensure timely and accurate tax submissions
• Translate financial data into meaningful insights for management through reporting and analysis
• Continuously improve reporting tools and performance tracking processes
• Partner with stakeholders across various departments to support financial planning and operations
• Participate in cross-functional projects, including new business implementations or operational process enhancements
• Coordinate reporting activities and requirements with key clients and partners

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accounting or similar (HBO / Master level)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial or business control roles
• Strong understanding of financial processes, risk management, and compliance
• Demonstrated experience in cross-functional collaboration
• Analytical mindset with a pragmatic approach to solving financial and operational challenges
• Knowledge of supply chain operations is a plus
• Fluency in Dutch and English
